Seller's Notes

Richmond’s star has been rising over the last 10-15 years with new businesses moving here, more breweries than you can shake your Uber app at, a growing number of festivals, and development – lots and lots of commercial and residential development, with both new construction and historic renovations.

As with any city that’s growing – both in size and popularity – your choices can be overwhelming. But knowing someone who really knows the area can take some of the pressure off … someone whom you can ask any question, so you can dig for the kinds of details that will help you make a better, more informed decision … a decision you can live with for a long time.

If you’re going to live in the city, what are the secrets to finding good parking? If you want to live in one of the counties, which developments will best fit the lifestyle you want? For example, do you need to be near hospitals, parks and hiking, shopping, the interstates, or public transportation? Do you want a newer, trendier neighborhood, or would you prefer one of Richmond’s older, quieter communities?

And, most importantly, which neighborhoods are near Richmond’s big festivals, the annual Richmond marathon, or the Monument Avenue 10k – which could mean planning ahead for parking and getting around that day or that weekend?

We give you the ins and outs of living in neighborhoods throughout Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover, Ashland, Varina, Short Pump, Goochland, and even down into the Tri-Cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, and Hopewell, which are close to Fort Lee.

Directions

The Oakstone Properties Richmond office is located at the intersection of John Rolfe Parkway and Ridgefield Parkway in Richmond’s West End in Henrico County. From Interstate 64, take the Gaskins Road South Exit. Turn right onto Ridgefield. You’ll pass Deep Run Park (another great place to stop while you’re in town, especially if you have children or if you like to hike). When you come to John Rolfe Parkway, turn left at the light. Then, take your first right. We’re in the building right at the corner of John Rolfe and Ridgefield.
